Welcome to the PATHFINDER project website

Introduction

The PATHFINDER project is initiated within the ‘Factories of the Future’, a €1.2 billion program in which the European Commission and industry are collaborating in research to support the development and innovation of new enabling technologies for the EU manufacturing sector.

Due to the current economic climate, there is a strong need to raise the level of excellence and competitiveness of Europe's industry based on innovations in manufacturing technology.

Our mission:

To increase knowledge and awareness of, and determine the future use and
impact of simulation and forecasting technologies in manufacturing.

Our objectives:

  • To deliver a roadmap pointing out research priorities leading to the next generation simulation and forecasting technologies.
  • To inform the manufacturing industry on state of the art simulation and forecasting technologies.
  • To favour the creation of a network of experts.

Partners:

Europe Partners7 technical partners from 5 countries in Europe are combining their expertise and knowledge to conduct research into the area of simulation and forecasting. Through sharing their existing connections, and forging new ones, partners will establish a network of experts to share their insight.
